A large crowd of housewives and children gathered outside the Standard Cinema Buildings in Tile Hill Lane, Coventry, today, to catch a glimpse of the Bachelors who were opening a new ladies' hair stylist salon. The salon called Eileen's is the first shop to be opened in the development, which has involved rebuilding the cinema. The three Bachelors arrived late after a breakdown on their journey from Birmingham, to be greeted by Mrs. Eileen Kelly, who is starting the salon with her husband. The trio cut a pink tape and unlocked the door after a stormy passage through the crowd of autograph hunters. The salon is equipped with the latest push-button driers and can accommodate about 12 customers at one time.6th February 1967
