This Lockheed 10A Electra, a 10 passenger, 2 crew American built all-metal airliner with two 450hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior R-985-SB2 radial engines was used by Neville Chamberlain, the British Prime Minister to fly to a meeting with Adolf Hitler in an attempt to resolve the Czechoslovakian crisis. The British Airways aircraft left Heston on 15th September 1938 and flew to Munich.Neville Chamberlain speaks to the pressCzechoslovakian crisis Adolf Hitler wanted the partition of the Sudetenland, which was populated by a German minority.
