Alexander Litvinenko Murder November 2006Police guard the entrance to Itsu restaurant in London's Piccadilly, 27 November 2006. After former spy Alexander Litvinenko met with a contact at the restuarant prior to falling ill and was probably poisoned by radioactive polonium 210, the Health Protection Agency said. The HPA's Professor Roger Cox, told a central London news conference that a large quantity" of alpha radiation "probably from a substance called polonium 210" had been detected in Litvinenko's urine"
