Actress June Thurburn, in traditional shepherdess clothes, is playing the part of Mary for a competition open to all visitors to the Battersea Park Festival Pleasure Gardens. A firm of blanket manufacturers have given a pair of best Yorkshire wool blankets to be presented on Friday to the visitor who has guessed the weight of Matilda, the lamb she leads round the Gardens.
