Ben Hur Live, a new live version of Ben Hur has been announced for the O2 Arena in September 2009. The stage version will cost ??5million to put on, and will include a cast of 400 performers and 100 animals. It???s being timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the movie, and will be a spectacular show featuring light, sound, water, wind and pyrotechnic effects.It will be performed in an amphitheatre style setting, and will include the famous chariot race as seen in the film.Pictured: Cast & Production Team at photocall at the O2 Arena in London May 2009.
