Cardiff, Network Rail, LDP, executive, official
Aerial Shots of the Cardiff area, taken from Network Rail helicopter flight. View of central Cardiff area. The growth of Cardiff will be pushed back up the political agenda this month as the first documents emerge in a new local development plan (LDP). An official sign of Cardiff councils policy change in building on greenfield land will go before the council executive today as members admit they cannot meet demand by just building on brownfield sites. The document Cardiff 2006-2026 Vision and Objectives states: [We will] follow a sequence of firstly maximising the contribution of brownfield sites, then identifying greenfield sites that are considered to represent the most appropriate and sustainable locations to accommodate new development. 14th, August, 2009.
