Pop star Cliff Richard was visiting Newcastle on 4th February 1981 to sing the praises of a Christian charity organisation.He was opening the Tearcraft shop in Carliol Square, which will raise money for the Tear Fund, the International Christian development and relief agency.The singer does an annual concert to help the organisation.
