Forensic police at the scene of the prison van escape, in Bedfont Middlesex January 2009.Wayne Connor, 20, was freed on his way to Woolwich crown court to face charges including racially aggravated bodily harm and burglary.The men in balaclavas forced the van to pull over, smashed the window and ordered the driver to free him. They fled in a car, leaving other prisoners inside.Police were called at 7.30am and the driver was taken to hospital for cuts and bruises. They said: It's not just about finding him, but men who brandished a firearm."Connor, a traveller from Hertfordshire, had been collected from Feltham Young Offenders Institution, West London, and fled in Bedfont.
