Israel launches a series of fresh attacks on Beirut's infrastructure.The damaged Halat bridge following its early morning demolition by the Israeli airforce, 27 miles north of Beirut on August 4, 2006. Four bridges were bombed in the early morning Israeli strikes resulting in a further isolation of Southern Lebanon.The attacks, which killed three and injured 11, and severed vital transport links to the north of the country and the border with Syria.Our Picture Shows: The Body of Joseph Basill (62yrs) a christian who was under the bridge, when it was bombed.August 2006
