Donald Campbell takes 'Bluebird' on Coniston Water for the first time. 4th November 1966.Campbell was killed instantly on 4th January 1967 whilst attempting to break his own water-speed record of 276mph. His craft 'Bluebird' flipped into the air at around 300mph.
