Lonnie Donegan
Skiffle King Lonnie Donegan, might sing about his old man being a dustman. But today experts decided that Lonnie himself was a very smart man. He has just been presented with an award for being one of Britain's ten best dressed men. The award was presented by the Wholesale Clothing Manufacturers Federation, Monday 4th July 1960. Lonnie looked as sharp as a guitar string in an italian style kashmir navy blue lounge suit (costing 24 guineas), with four pearl buttons on the cuff, guitar shaped cuff links, pointed brown crocodile leather shoes and a tie with horizontal stripes.
