American forces in England WW2
One of the vital weapons of the US Army now manoeuvering on the rugged downs and beaches of England in preparation for the invasion of occupied Europe is the giant M-25 which recovers damaged tanks and other heavy vehicles.Moving just one step behind the battle, the M-25 is completely buttoned up with armour plating for protection against enemy fire and also mounts a 60 caliber machine gun.Picture shows an American medium tank being winched on to the trailer of the M-25 transport to a rear area.19th February 1944.
