Seven thousand teenagers danced through the night at the Glad Rag Ball, an annual hop organized by London University??s Charity Carnival. The ball began at 9 p.m. and ended with breakfast at 7 a.m. There was a near riot when the Rolling Stones took the rostrum in the centre of the Empire Pool at Wembley, Middlesex.
