Cleveland Pipework Services Award, National Engineering Training Association, Engineering Industry Training Board, Capper Pipe, Sir Richard O'Brien
Sir Richard O'Brien, new Chairman of the Engineering Industry Training Board, presented special merit prizes and first year training certificates to apprentices at the National Engineering Training Association (Engineering Construction) Centre at Portrack, Stockton. Prizewinners were, left to right, Tim Sunderland - Cleveland Pipework Services Award for top welding apprentice and Teeside Clients' award for top overall apprentice; Philip Younger - R Blackett Charlton award for top academic apprentice; Paul Oliver - William Press award for top mechanical fitter; Anthony Willis - Capper Pipe services award for top pipe fitter and Andrew Jollands - Arthur Pickering awaad for consistent endeavour. 29th September 1982.
