Coal Queen Arlene puts a stop to swear-words at the coal face. The 1,800 pitmen at a Yorkshire colliery were on their best behaviour yesterday-for they were hosts to a coal queen. Their visitor was lovely 20-year-old Arlene Silkstone. She was invited by the Coal Board to look over part of her domain after being voted Yorkshire Miners' Queen. October 1966.
