Coventry Boy Scouts, Mrs. E. E Williams, Ma Williams, Alderman E.M. Rogers, cubs
To commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Wolf Cub section of the Coventry Boy Scouts, a special two-acre field was officially opened at Rough Close by Mrs. E. E Williams, who founded the 20th Coventry Cub pack in 1917. Although 'Ma Williams' is in her 87th year she said it was a great honour to have the field named after her and she was 'delighted' that the cubs now have a field of their own. This photo show the Lord Mayor, Alderman E.M. Rogers, taking the controls of a scout car duing his visit to Rough Close Camp.27th August 1966
