Fashion 1960's. Now It's a crazy bald-head look for Girls. At the Jacques Esterel show, which opened the high fashion collections in Paris on Monday (27-7-64) there were certainly no bare bosoms just a bare head. Quite bare. Yul Brynner bare. And to show that the brave model girl was not bald to start with, every programme had a lock of her hair in it. Her name is Bibelot, and she cries a little each day when designer Jacques Esterel personally shaves her head. If it makes her so sad to be bald, why does she do it? She is my star model," says Esterel, "and it's important that she plays the star's role. In any case, I have made her fifteen wigs, and she can let her hair grow again in three months".
