The sea loch on the Scottish West Coast known as Gare Loch seen here from the Clynder Hills, Dunbartonshire. The loch is 7 miles in length and 1 mile in width. During the Second World War the loch was used as an assembly point for covoys crossing the North Atlantic. 11th June 1949
