PC George William Allen 27 (left) and PC Harry Cautherley 28 (centre), pictured on a interlocked police motorcycle combination, Circa 1930. PC Allen and PC Cautherley of P Division at Lewisham Police Station. The constables lost their lives, 28th November 1931, in a head on collision with a saloon car on Beckenham Hill in Kent. The two Metropolitan Mobile Policemen died in the corps first fatal accident.
