Goodwin Sands, South Goodwin Lightship, RAF Manston, Trinity House
A USAF Search and Rescue helicopter from RAF Manston transfers members of a search party from Trinity House on to the Goodwin Sands in the English Channel, too look for the seven members of the crew of the South Goodwin Lightship which broke its mooring during a storm and was driven on her side onto the sands. The search found no survivors . 29th November 1954
