Lady White Murder 14th March 1922On the morning of 14th March 1922, Lady Alice White was found with her skull crushed in,but still alive, in her room at the Spencer's Hotel, Portman Street, London, she died a few hours later. A pantry boy at the hotel, Henry Julius Jacoby, was found guilty of her murder. The jury added a strong recommendation to mercy, but he was hanged.
