Forty seven passengers were banned from joining a charter flight to New York from Gatwick Airport. Enforcement officers spoke to 143 passengers to check if they qualified for the charter flight as Laker Airways chairman Freddie Laker (right)explained to passengers the complications. 14th May 1971.
