Lord Bath, wiltshire
To the Lions of Longleat, Lord Bath's place in wiltshire, the figure looked real. They attacked with all the ferocity expected of the king of the beasts. People in nearby cars thought the figure was real, too. They looked in anguish at what they thought was a man being mauled. But the figure was a dummy. One Lion leaps on to the car bonnet which bends under its weight. June 1968
