Former Labour Party leader Michael Foot forgot politics to display his literary leanings during a public lecture at Warwick University Arts Centre, Coventry. Mr Foot was on campus to address a 250-strong audience on the life and works of Byron. The event marked the launch of a series of books on European humanities by Wariwkc University academics. Mr Foot said: I am thrilled to be here because the university has such a splendid reputation and it gives me the chance to spread some propaganda on Byron, my pet subject.
