Mirfield Fire Station, Fire Service, Mirfield, Philip Guck, officer
In the driving seat... budding firemen Philip Guck and Wayne Horsfall take the controls in a fire engine at Mirfield Fire Station. They were among 20 cubs who visited the station as part of a project on the Fire Service. The Cubs, who meet at Zion Chapel, Mirfield, were given a talk on the fire service by Sub Officer Kevin Fisher, the officer in Charge. They watched a fire engine display and shown how the computerised turnout system works. 13th April 1989.
