Mr Digwell gives advice on how to cope with club root, silver leaf and peach leaf curl 13th November 1971 Mr Digwell's the Daily Mirror gardener appeared in the paper from the early 1950s through to the 1980s. Mr Digwell with the aid of his friends Jack, Lizzie, Mr Newcome, Mr Busyman and the newly weds Jack and Pru gave advice on everything. From garden planning to propagation, pests and diseases, plants great and small from trees to house plants. The strip was written by Ian Gammidge and illustrated by Jack Dunkley.
