Mr Digwell gives advice on how to grow Sweet Corn 24th March 1963. Mr Digwell's the Daily Mirror gardener appeared in the paper from the early 1950s through to the 1980s. Mr Digwell with the aid of his friends Jack, Lizzie, Mr Newcome, Mr Busyman and the newly weds Jack and Pru gave advice on everything. From garden planning to propagation, pests and diseses , plants great and small from trees to house plants. The strip was written by Ian Gammidge and illustrated by Jack Dunkley.
