P/O Wray, Odiham, Ulster, Wessex, Hampshire

These border patrols are flown by a detachment of 72 Squedron of the R.A.F., normally based at Odiham in Hampshire. In Ulster they are flying from the R.A.F. base at Aldegrove. They use Wessex helicopters for the patrols, and also other roles in support of the Army, moving VIP's and troops, mail runs, etc. P/O Wray and his men search the van, and also (13) a lorry that came along while the road block was set up.
