Paul Hails, Newcastle Crown Court, Appeal Court, Rampton Hospital, North Shieds
Paul Hails (25) detained in Rampton Hospital for killing a six-year-old boy at North Shieds was cleared by Appeal Court today after a confession by another man. The finding quashes a sentence at Newcastle Crown Court in February last year when Hails was found guilty of the manslaughter of Gary Shields. 5th May 1976.
