The Design Centre, 1961
Lord Snowdon, (Anthony Armstrong Jones), begins work at the Design Centre, 28 Haymarket, near Piccadilly Circus, London. The Centre acted as the Design Council's headquarters, and it provided the Design Council with a permanent public space to present displays of contemporary British design, along with a changing programme of themed special exhibitions. 23rd January 1961.
