Whitley Bay, Heritage Lottery Fund, HLF, 3.7m, 12m
The future of an iconic coastal landmark has been secured thanks to a lottery grant.The Grade II-listed Spanish City and Dome, in Whitley Bay, is to be restored and reopened with the help of a ??3.7m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF).Earlier this year, an application for cash was turned down by the HLF.
